Please click on the link below to read the outcome of our most recent Section 8 HMI visit in October 2016. We were pleased that the inspector recognised many of the strengths of the school:

Leaders work well together and have put robust plans in place to work on areas for improvement."

"Parents, staff and pupils are very supportive of the leaders and the changes they have made.”

“Teachers are enthusiastic and have taken on board the changes leaders have introduced.”

“The spiritual, moral, social and cultural aspects of the curriculum remain strengths of the school, supported through enrichment activities, the school’s broader internationally-based curriculum and the warm, Christian ethos of the school.”

“Pupils are happy at school and enjoy the range of curriculum and after-school opportunities on offer.”

“Playtimes are particularly well organised with pupils actively enjoying a wide range of sports equipment which is efficiently prepared and cleared away by year 5 ‘play leaders’.”

While we were extremely disappointed by the conclusions reached in the Ofsted inspection carried out in April 2016, we are pleased that this inspection recognises that the whole school team are committed to providing the best quality teaching and learning experiences for your children and helping them to achieve their full potential.

The view from the local authority (LA) is that the entire school team has worked collaboratively in the relentless drive to achieve school improvement since the previous inspection. We have received monitoring visits from the LA every half term from that point and they hold Task Group meetings each half term to formally review the progress of the school. Following the Task Group meeting preceding the inspection (in February 2016) they concluded that:

“The school has maintained its rapid improvement since the last Task Group and is now judged to be Good: good and effective leadership has significantly and rapidly improved the outcomes for pupils and the quality improved over a sustained period of time since the last inspection... Assessment systems and processes are strong and the school has a clear overview of assessment: school leaders have embedded new assessment systems that accurately track how attainment gaps are closing in relation to the new curriculum benchmarks and progress towards the end of year expectations for all pupils.”

Message from the Director of the Diocesan Board of Education:

“Coventry Diocesan Board of Education works in partnership with Warwickshire Local Authority to support Church of England schools in Coventry, Solihull and Warwickshire.  In relation to the recent Ofsted inspection Coventry Diocesan Board of Education supports the Local Authority view that the performance of the school is more positive than is stated within the Ofsted report.  Our view is confirmed by the SIAMS statutory inspection (Ofsted Section 48 for church schools) which took place in February 2016 judging All Saints' Church of England Junior School as Outstanding.

The following bullet points are headlines from the SIAMS report:

  • The school’s strong Christian leadership results in Christian principles being embedded across all its work.

  • The high quality pastoral care provided by the school within a Christian framework supports all pupils to make good progress.

  • The outstanding impact of this church school’s international links strongly enhances pupils’ understanding of their responsibilities for the wider world.

  • Exemplary behaviour and relationships built on mutual respect and Christian forgiveness.”
